The Pan African Council

Mission Statement

The Pan African Council (PAC) at Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine welcomes all faculty and staff, including those of African descent, by fostering a strong sense of community, amplifying voices, and promoting networking, collaboration, and community building. We provide community and support to our members, ensuring our contributions help strengthen the university and enrich its academic, research, clinical, and cultural environment.

Events and Membership

The Pan African Council SRG is committed to creating meaningful engagement and connection among colleagues with shared cultural experiences. We host networking mixers, professional development sessions, community conversations, and cultural celebrations that strengthen relationships across the university.

PAC also collaborates with campus partners, amplifies member contributions, and provides spaces to build leadership skills, share knowledge, and support one another. Together, we cultivate a vibrant, connected community where every member feels valued, seen, and empowered to thrive.

To become a member of the Pan African Council SRG, please sign up through this survey so you can be informed of upcoming meetings and events. There is no cost associated with membership and no time commitments.
