AAPI Community Alliance
Mission Statement
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community Alliance Seawolf Resource Group is committed to building awareness, allyship, and cultural competence across Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine. We will engage with the community through collaboration, community-building, dialogue, and education to promote understanding and maintain an inclusive environment for all AA&PI self-identified members and our allies.
Events and Membership
The AAPI Community Alliance will host a variety of events, including:
- In-person networking events
- Educational events (e.g. invited speakers)
- Book clubs
- Craft nights (e.g. painting/watercolor, bonsai, paper crafts, taichi, and yoga)
- Collaborative events with other SRGs

To become a member of the AAPI Community Alliance SRG, please sign up through this survey so you can be informed of upcoming meetings and events. There is no cost associated with membership and no time commitments.
Members can attend as many meetings and events as they would like. Individual membership in SRGs is strictly voluntary and open to all employees who are interested in joining, regardless of identity. Refer to the SRG benefits and guidelines for more information.
