Accessibility For All
Mission Statement
The Accessibility For All SRG has a vision where all employees, including those with disabilities, play a vital role in Stony Brook University’s growth as a premier University.
Our mission is to create a campus culture that embraces disAbility as diversity and seeks to welcome those with all abilities. We aim to promote access, equity, diversity, and inclusion through training, awareness, and outreach.
We will accomplish this mission by:
- Supporting SBU by assisting with outreach in the recruitment, development, and retention of qualified employees with disabilities;
- Fostering ongoing dialog regarding the importance of disability and its intersectionality with other traditionally underrepresented identities; and
- Providing information and best practices for Universal Design on issues of accessibility.
Events and Membership
The Accessibility For All SRG welcomes all employees, with the goal of making Stony Brook the most accessible place to work. Each year, our National Disability Employee Awareness Month series showcases great work going on throughout campus.
