5 day lecture series: $165 (does not include faculty-led workshops)

5 day emerging workshop (includes all talks, readings and lectures): $350

5 day advance/children's lit workshop (includes all talks, readings and lectures): $1650

Housing

$77.75 per person per night for a double room (shared)

$89.50 per person per night for a single room (limited amt)

Meals

Around $275 total for all meals

Conference for Credit

Both matriculated and non-matriculated students have the opportunity to take the conference for two graduate credits.

Instead of the standard $1,650 conference fee, for-credit attendees pay the standard tuition and university fees:

NY State Resident: $1,264.60

Non-NY Resident: $2,572.60

After acceptances, SBU students must register as you would for a traditional semester workshop via Solar.

Non-matriculated attendees will need to also submit a non-matriculation application via this system.

These credits are fully transferable to the Stony Brook MFA in Creative Writing program upon enrollment. Please note: Conference scholarships or funding cannot be applied toward the for-credit tuition rate.

Deposits, Payments and Refunds:

$400 deposit is nonrefundable for Advanced and Children's Lit Workshops.
50% refund for Emerging Workshop if cancellation is before June 15.
No refunds within a month of the conference.
Refunds cannot be provided for those who must leave the conference early for any reason.
Credit costs based on spring 2026. Subject to change.
