Subject: Advisory: Heat Advisory
Summary:
We are expecting higher temperatures in the region starting tomorrow afternoon.
Max Heat Indices: Wednesday: 95-100°F. A few locations may see heat index values in the low 100s. Thursday: 100-104°F. Isolated heat index values of 105°F are possible in northeast NJ. Daytime Temperatures: Upper 80s to lower 90s. Nighttime Temperatures: Low to mid 70s. Overnight lows may remain in the upper 70s in the NYC Metro Thursday night. Timing: Max heat indices between noon and 8pm each day. Impacts: There is an increased risk of heat-related illness for vulnerable populations with this event. |
