A story of love and despair based on an actual murder case tried in the State of Louisiana in the 1940s. Toni Jo Henry (Jaime King, My Bloody Valentine) is arrested and accused of murdering a man following an ill-conceived plan to rob a bank. With the help of two inexperienced tax attorneys, Toni Jo fights for her life in a system stacked against her. Because of her beauty, Toni Jo instantly becomes a notorious celebrity, drawing unparalleled media attention. A powerful story of love and redemption.
