Dr. Rainville is an old country doctor who feels very attached to his patients. Nearing retirement, he must find his replacement. Dr. Jeanne Dion, an emergency-ward doctor from Montréal, wants a life change. She responds to Rainville’s classified ad and agrees to come and work in Normétal for a few weeks while he’s away on an important trip. Life here is hard, and the rapport with patients far more intimate than what Jeanne experienced in the emergency ward of a major urban hospital. A deliberately-paced and thoughtful new film from the director of the 2008 Stony Brook Film Festival drama, Summit Circle.

Produced by Bernadette Payeur. Director of Photography: Sara Mishara. In competition from E1 Entertainment International.
