Phoebe in Wonderland

FRIDAY, JULY 25, 7:00 PM
N.Y. Premiere—U.S.A.—96 minutes
Written and directed by Daniel Barnz.

With Elle Fanning, Felicity Huffman, Patricia Clarkson, Bill Pullman and Campbell Scott.

The powerful and moving Phoebe in Wonderland, which had its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is centered around a young girl (Elle Fanning) who longs to be in her school’s production of “Alice in Wonderland.” After being cast in the lead role of Alice by her unconventional drama teacher (Patricia Clarkson), Phoebe reveals a unique talent but, much like Alice herself, is increasingly at odds with the world around her and begins to retreat into a world of her imagination. Though her parents (Felicity Huffman and Bill Pullman) initially see their daughter’s unusual behavior as signs of creativity, they gradually realize that Phoebe is at risk of falling “through the looking glass.” Produced by Ben Barnz and Lynette Howell. Executive Producer: Doug Dey. Director of Photography: Bobby Bukowski. A THINKFilm release.
